How to set up RealPlayer.

I have some streaming realplayer stuff I want to view. Sorry for being 
vague: What I know is that I found out what port was needed to get out 
to the server, but the stream would not play unless the firewall was down. 
Can someone tell me what the rules are for running RealPlayer (with the 
firewall up)?
