strange error when starting fiaif

Hi All,

I have an error, or possibly two errors as I think they are related but
can't prove it, that I have not been able to fix with fiaif.  It's my
fault the error/s is/are there but don't have a clue as to how to fix
the problem.  

What happened is that I had a working install of fiaif, but then wanted
to install Nvu.  As it is no longer in the Debian repositories I
downloaded the source code and then tried compiling it using the
instructions on the Nvu website.  I ran across a couple errors compiling
the code and had to install libgtk2.0-dev package, and all its
dependencies which I cannot now recall in their entirety, from the
Debian repositories to fix that problem.  Ever since I did fiaif will
abort on start or when running a test of it with the following error.

The glibc error is displayed on one line, the second error is displayed
a second line.  Anyone have enough knowledge of fiaif to help on this?
